Denzi 'Volkner' Cross [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 100; background-color:#b8860b; ] ◆ 27 ◆ Gym Leader ◆ Heterosexual ◆ Inventor ◆ Electrician | [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width:230; padding-left: 15px; text-align: justify;] friends ◆ Due to Volkner's general apathetic look, his dry sense of humor and the fact that he's taken disabled all power in Sunnyshore for a grand total of 15 times now he's not exactly well liked by most of the citizen's in his city and most people in general. He's extremely lackadaisical and is only useful when excited or amped up. However if you can look past this and see the humor and reason behind his actions he might find a friend in you yet or at least an acquaintance of sorts. He likes strong people, people who know have a good time, and those with a similar interest in electricity. As closed off as he may seem he's actually pretty open to meeting new people, especially those that can make him laugh. Becoming a friend though is gonna take a little bit more than just a shared interest.
enemies ◆ Hmm, technically seeing as he runs the Sinnoh Gym's he's supposedly against all who turn against the league, however he doesn't take that responsibility too personally, as far as he's concerned their simply a part of the job. Thus he doesn't think of them as enemies or at least personal ones at that. People who get in the way of renovating his gym are enemies, also on that list are people who waste his time, and people who cause trouble in his heavily modified city. Other than that not the toot his own horn, but Volkner actually feels he's a pretty chill open minded guy when it comes down to it and as said earlier overall Volkner is an extremely neutral guy and it's actually fairly difficult to get on his bad side. Oh and cops he can't stand cops.
romance ◆ Hmm, in the end Volkner personally doesn't too much thought about relationships. Yeah there are pretty girls, but he's always been laid back about the whole girlfriend situation. I mean he knows girls who are his friends so their girlfriends as far as he's concerned, or at least that's how he usually tries to play it off as. In the end he'd probably be a terrible boyfriend where his partner would have to do most of the work forcing him out and making him do things. Which just happens to be the type of girl he's convinced himself he dislikes (Naggers). However his mom has been on him about marriage and settling down recently, and so he keeps people in mind slightly just to keep her quiet. However if someone manages to get past his bullshit persona, then he'd actually be half a decent partner... probably. He also has a thing were he doesn't like getting too close to people.
others ◆ Other Sinnoh Gym Leaders would probably be here and anyone else who has an off the wall idea that doesn't fit in the above categories.

I don't have qualms with the ship at all and I see you're pretty excited about it as well so I don't really mind. Let's just take it one step at a time though, if you wanna create a thread once you're accepted you can or I can create a thread right now, I don't mind either way yo.

Oh wow I sounded like a crazy person it was late when I posted that. xD I actually sort of meant that yeah, I'd love to see how it went with these two! I just got excited because of Volkner. xD So sorry to sound so crazy! Gomengomen! //bow
Basically yeah, I actually don't mind if we end up shipping them or not because always with character development and seeing how they go, I just got excited at the thought of having fun with electric gym leaders who can both be stubborn and sarcastic at times. x333

No worries, no worries. It's all good and it wasn't crazy aight. Now back to the actual plot I'm cool with it either way as long as we take it slowly I'm good, if we rush into it it'll probably spell trouble in the future and I've seen too many ships play through too quickly which kinda ruins the entire thing, (or at least for me it does) So as long as we're taking it easy everything is fine, and the two do have really good character dynamic so I'll post up a thread and once you're approved you can join in, sound good? |

well, for one, they're all gym leaders. i'm honestly not sure how things would work out between the three of them, considering a. the age gap and b. neither tate nor liza really know what it's like to not have responsibility thrust upon them, but i feel that they could get along?
tate might think it's hilarious how volkner shut down the power in sunyshore, and would probably ask if he could somehow do that to mossdeep (despite the consequences). he's enegetic and most likely respects volkner, so if they can see past the age difference they could probably get along.
liza is a bit less easygoing than tate, but i don't think volkner's humor would be lost on her. i feel that he and liza would have more of an intellectul friendship than anything; she wouldn't approve of tate's fascination with blackouts, but would definitely be interested in how sunyshore operates and think of ways to adapt it for mossdeep. |

  2/3 NEETso I think these two have a possibility of meeting in the past? comparing side-by-side they initially seem to have different personalities (being volkner's usual and steven's public personality) but past that they're more similar, with steven being more quiet and studious than he appears for the sake of a good public opinion, less expressive, etc. also they both don't like boring battles. although he's no longer in the competitive realm of thing, steven enjoys training and is generally satisfied with a challenging trainer. also, being the heir to devon corp. he undoubtedly has some knowledge of machines and computer systems that the company uses to produce their goods/revive fossilized pokemon, so he'd take an interest in volkner's inventions, goal to make sunyshore a beacon of self-sustaining energy, and his gym renovations. if you want, we could possibly say they've brushed each other in the past at one point or another, or we could have them meet for the first time?

lol don't worry the font size was just big.
but yeah, they would really appreciate volkner for not looking down on them -- and it looks like tate and echo will get along swimmingly, much to liza's dismay. and no, they don't have time to run all of mossdeep on a day-to-day basis so you're not wrong. c: in any case, tate is probably better friends with volkner's pokemon, though liza would probably enjoy volkner's company a lot.

ooh, Steven fund Volkner? once his eye is caught with wtf the guy is doing he'd be more than happy to do so. he'd also kind of draw the line on a more financial scale between what he's doing with his own money (this), and what Devon Corp. has its money in by extension of him, unless Volkner wants to present his ideas to Devon and Steven can help out that way. As far as the listening Steven...does it so long as it's within his job requirements if that makes sense, like he won't happily go along and do something, he'll consider it first. That said he is likely to do something if it involves helping someone out but y'know. I can def. see them getting along as well - beers ho!
as far as his running Devon or not goes, Volkner'd need to be the one to inquire that, if at all, because Steven usually tries to let sleeping dogs lie (for however long that may be) unless he needs to exercise his status as an heir for something x3
Also at some point in time if Volkner ever wanted an exciting battle he could see how he compared to the former Hoenn Champion.

Aight so it seems everything's in order just throw a reason for the meeting I'm cool with anything if he wants to learn more about his inventions in the making or just wanted to meet up with Volkner for anything else. If you really requested he'd meet Steven somewhere outside of Sunnyshore, but if there's no real request you'd probably find him in his city. So yeah a thread is cool just tell me when it's up. I'm cool with the location just being in Sunyshore. I can more than likely work out a reason for Steven's being there. As far as reason for meeting...that's truly up in the air. Perhaps while he passed through, something or other fell/broke near the Gym or elsewhere in the city and Volkner noticed but didn't do/say anything because Steven put it right with his pokemon?
Pardon if the idea doesn't make sense/is otherwise poor, I had minimal sleep and two exams today.

tate & lizai'm not sure when/where/how you'd want to thread these three, but i suppose i'd be up for a thread if you are. ... or, alternatively, you could take a look at eleonore badisa, who's kind of an idle rich lady who's secretly a scientist for the dream eaters; she'll find volkner fascinating, and probably return his dry humor with a bit of her own should they meet. |
